On my first year of the film studies in Polish National Filmschool I made a short documentary with the main character of this film. Although the potential of the character was there, the film itself didnt realize and show Wlodek Marszalek to the extent I wished. Therefore on my 3rd of the studies I went back to him to see if I could show this man more fully.

The situation had changed a lot. It was certainly a much more critical point in his life. Economically and psychologically everything was starting to come apart for him. My point of view had also changed quite a bit, maybe matured some into seeing the desperate struggle of Wlodek to find some peace inside himself.

Still, I didnt want to make another film and portrait about this family. I had done that already.. Maybe not as deep as was possible but I had been there. So when an opportunity like Wlodek travelling to London to sell his car, presented itself, i jumped to it immiedialtely.

This was quite an adventure, a new world which could open up.
